When Aria's father is arrested, she is forced to flee her home and seek refuge with Ethan. At first, they are wary of each other, but as they spend more time together, they begin to realize that they have more in common than they thought.
Despite their differences, Aria and Ethan find themselves drawn to each other. Their forbidden attraction could threaten their safety and their lives, but they can't resist it.

Excerpt
Aria knocked on the door, her heart pounding in her chest. She had never been to this part of the city before, and she didn't know what to expect. She had heard rumors that it was dangerous, but she had no other choice.
The door opened, and a man appeared in the doorway. He was tall and muscular, with a shaved head and piercing blue eyes. He looked like he could crush her with one hand.
"What do you want?" he asked, his voice gruff.
"I'm looking for Ethan," Aria said. "My father was arrested, and I need his help."
The man's eyes narrowed. "And why would I help you?"
"Because I know he's a good man," Aria said. "And I know he'll help me find my father."
The man hesitated for a moment, then stepped aside. "Come in," he said. "But be careful. He's not going to be happy to see you."
Aria stepped into the apartment, and the door slammed shut behind her. She looked around, her eyes wide. The apartment was small and cramped, with a single bed, a dresser, and a table. There was a window, but it was boarded up.
Ethan was sitting at the table, reading a book. He looked up when Aria entered, and his eyes widened in surprise.
"Aria," he said. "What are you ng here?"
"My father was arrested," Aria said. "I need your help."
Ethan sighed. "I'm sorry, Aria," he said. "I can't help you."
"Why not?" Aria asked. "You're a rebel. You fight against the government. You can help me find my father."
"It's not that simple," Ethan said. "The government is watching me. If I help you, they'll know. And they'll come after you."
"I don't care," Aria said. "I need to find my father."
Ethan looked at her for a long moment, then nodded. "Alright," he said. "I'll help you."
Aria smiled. "Thank you," she said.
Ethan stood up and came over to her. He took her hand, and she felt a spark of electricity run through her body.
"Let's go," he said. "We don't have much time."
